Confiteor.

In what I have done

And

In what I have failed to do.

Mea Culpa.

This line stayed with me:

"A memory that refuses to fade is usually a memory the conscience has not finished with."

I think that's why courage is often misunderstood. We imagine it as some dramatic, fearless act, when most of the time it's just one calm sentence spoken at the right moment.

What I've noticed is that every time we stay silent against our own values, we don't just lose that moment—we make it a little easier to stay silent the next time too.

Character isn't built in extraordinary situations. It's built in ordinary rooms, where saying, "That's not okay," costs almost nothing... except the comfort of fitting in.

And strangely, those four seconds can shape the kind of person you become for years afterward.
